Oatmeal Smoothies

Pinspiration: http://pinterest.com/pin/185210603397874483/

Assemble your ingredients: Ice, frozen raspberries (or any berries), plain lowfat yogurt (not picture... I used Greek), banana, old-fashioned rolled oats, honey, coconut water (or other liquid, such as juice)

Place ice and berries in the bottom of blender, and all other ingredients on top. Blend until completely smooth.

Serve.

I halved the recipe. I was hoping I wouldn't have to use a bigger glass than this.

Review:

I really like the idea of using oats in smoothies. I have actually done it other times, but didn't follow this recipe.

And ice... I really don't think you need to use ice in a smoothie. Well, ever. But especially if you're using frozen fruit. I think it waters them down. I like my smoothies to have more flavor.

Oh, and you can add a scoop of protein mix to this if you want.
