Arts and Crafts Wednesday: Easy Wall "Art"

I bought several fabric squares at JoAnn Fabrics a few weeks ago for 99 cents each (or 50% off).

I bought a 7 pack of canvases a couple weeks ago at Michael's when they were on sale. I guess I could have made a frame with wood and it would have been cheaper, but it would have been more difficult. :-) These are 12x12 canvas.

Can't do a project without the cat investigating...

I ironed the fabric first, because, as you can see, it had some significant folds. I did trim off the excess first. I stapled one side to the inside of the frame, probably 3 staples on one side. Then I stretched it across and stapled on the opposite side. Then I did the other 2 sides the same. I folded the corners as tight as I could and stapled those as well.

I wish I could do something about that thermostat which is actually not functional. But I rent, so I can't remove it.

My living room colors are kind of a rose/pink, tan, and green. My mind is drawing a blank as to what kind of green that is.
