Slow Cooker Thursday: Slow Cooker Beer Chicken

Pinspiration: http://pinterest.com/pin/185210603397920928/

The first time I made this, I needed to get rid of beer. The second time was so I could take pictures for the blog. I was also able to perfect it a little more.

The first time I used Hamm's. The second time I used Yuengling Light. I also halved the original recipe, but used the full bottle of beer (it was in the morning, I wasn't going to finish the rest). Considering it's just for the chicken to absorb the liquid, I knew it wouldn't make a difference.

Place all ingredients in the slow cooker.

Wow. I really should have checked this picture and taken a new one.

I think I was in a hurry, so I had to eat quick. I saved the leftovers.

Slow Cooker Beer Chicken (modified)

1lbs skinless, boneless chicken breasts (I used 4 breasts)
1 bottle or can of your favorite beer (I used Yuengling Light)
1/2 t salt
1/2 t garlic powder
1/2 t dried oregano
1/4 t black pepper

1. Place all ingredients in the crock pot
2. Cook on high for 4-5 hrs, or low for 6-8 hrs. (Mine was done in about 4 and a half on low)

Review:
Great! The first time I made it, I left it for the full 6 hours and it ended up kind of dry, but 4 and a half was good this time. Know your slow cooker!
