Craft Wednesday: Scrapbook Paper on Letters

Pinspiration: http://pinterest.com/pin/185210603397108629/

When I did this, I knew I had seen it somewhere, but didn't go back to look at it to find the exact post, so I didn't follow the directions.

As you may have noticed yesterday, I use giant letters with hooks to organize my jewelry (and belts... I didn't mention that, but the M is belts).

My bedroom is blues, tans, and browns, so when Michael's had a sale on scrapbook paper, I found a reversible paper that I thought would match well (it does). I didn't decide on reversible until I got there, and I realized that it would coordinate well and the letters could have different patterns.

This is what they looked like before (and before I moved to a new apartment). One is further away than the other, hence the difference in size.

I traced the letters on the scrapbook paper and cut it (with scissors - I didn't have a razor blade or the type of cutting board needed anyway). I used one side for the front of the letter and the reverse for the sides. I used Mod Podge to attach the paper to the letter.

As you can see, it's a different pattern on the front, but it has the map pattern on the sides.

And my cat... playing in a box (she put herself inside).
