I had bananas that were turning brown. I had a can of beer I knew I would never drink. Thought: Why don't I combine them and make a bread!
I scoured the internet for a good recipe, but they all seemed to want a flavored beer. Some of the dry ingredient recipes seemed weird, so I finally settled on one.

It wants a banana bread beer (I didn't know that existed!), but I didn't see the harm in using a regular beer.
Ready to go in the oven!
Ready to eat. :-)
Banana Beer Bread
3 c flour (I used white whole wheat)
1/2 c sugar
1/2 t salt
1 t baking powder
1/2 t baking soda
1 T brown sugar
12 oz beer
3 very ripe bananas, mashed
3 1/2 T butter, melted
1/2 c chocolate chips (I used dark chocolate)
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Mix all of the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
3. Mix the beer, bananas and 2 1/2 tablespoons of the butter in a small bowl.
4. Combine the dry and wet ingredients together, and fold in the chocolate chips.
3. Pour into a greased loaf pan, and pour the reserved tablespoon of butter over the top.
4. Bake for 65-75 minutes or until the top of your bread is browned.

Perfect way to get rid of beer and bananas! Delicious!
And a picture of my cat in one of her new favorite places.
